WHAT WE'RE ABOUT
I really believe we should LOVE being parents and have FUN regularly.
This blog started as a challenge for myself. My preschooler and I had VERY different personalities, and while I would gladly stay home and read books all day, he needed to be out in the mud, playing with sticks, going fast, getting scrapes and bruises and generally freaking me out.
I didn’t want to struggle through my last year of him being home before starting school, so I came up with the idea of finding something we could both mutually enjoy:
Spending time outdoors in beautiful nature settings
Exploring our local region
We began visiting national parks, where he would ride his bike and find huge sticks, leaves and butterflies, and I could breathe deeply and take in the scenery.
AMAZING.
We both began to look forward to our adventure day together each week.
This blog became a way to document our adventures, challenge myself to keep going when I lost motivation, and share all the good stuff with our friends and other families in the area.
It grew. As people began following us on Instagram and reading the articles, we began to share more about the philosophy and values behind the adventures - spending time together, having more fun, creating lasting memories and relationships, travel, exploring our region, getting out of our comfort zone, and more.
We aren’t super experienced in anything ‘adventury’, we are just an average family starting out. If you’re like us, we’re glad to meet you and can’t wait to share your journey :)
